Following the endless transgender-themed singles of the previous Garbage record beautifulgarbage, Why Do You Love Me comes as a good slap in the face for any fan who might have grown weary of the band's ill-adviced poppy tactics. Though not quite the miserable psycho-girl sound of the early days, this single is indeed a nod to what made Garbage popular in the first place - ie. loud, loud rock'n'roll, basically.

As Shirley repeatedly injects the line, "Why do you love me, it's driving me crazy," into your ear vessels, it feels like the best drug in the whole wide world. It is hard - and rather pointless - to try and find any reason at all.

Since Amazon doesn't really provide any information for this single I decided to add some myself.

There are only two tracks on this single. Of course there is 'Why do you love me?', it appears to be the same cut as on the album. The other track is titled 'Nobody can win'. It runs for 2m55s and it is a ballad. It doesn't really sound like any previous Garbage song.

All in all it is a pretty good single, too bad it doesn't have any remixes or I would've awarded it 5 stars.
