highly recommended 25 Jan 2008
By Jared Langerman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Very interesting reading. Makes me look at things a little bit differently. He explains recessions and their effect on social mood and elections. He shows why Democrats and Republicans win elections and why Obama is the "man of the hour" at this time in history even if Clinton wins the nomination. He also gets into some forgotten labor movement history. Sometimes the book is hard to follow but overall its well done. +++++

DETAILED AND CONVINCING--A SOLID SCHOLARLY STUDY 23 July 2008
By Sylvan G. Feldstein - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The author draws from economic data and history, not opinion poll data, to support his case that economic data and a voter's sense of well-being figure prominently in election outcomes. It's a solid scholarly study.
A must read, even after the election! 17 April 2009
By Christopher Butler - Published on Amazon.com

I would recommend this book to anyone. I love how the Author bases his opinion and forcast on facts, data and history, not opinion polls. And although Obama has already won the election, this is still a great read because it has so much information about the past, current and future. It definitely gives you a different way to look at things. I'm impressed and completely agree with Sylvan Feldstein, it IS a solid scholarly study. +++++
