About the Author
Gerald Mortimer has followed the fortunes of Derby County since 1946. He has recently retired as chief sports correspondent of the Derby Evening Telegraph and covered the club for that newspaper from the early Clough era. He is the author of Breedon's Derby County: A Complete Record, and in 2003 his book Are The Fixtures Out?, about his life as a sports correspondent, was also published by Breedon Books.
