I just finished reading, Who's There Little Hoo? by Brenda Ponnay, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The illustrations and vibrant colors are wonderfully eye catching. As a teacher of beginning readers, I liked the repetition, and I know children will like that part of the book, too. I have to admit that Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but I liked how each character unmasked from scary costumes and masks to reveal their true smiley faces. The book also has the right amount of words to keep the average toddler's interest, and that is important to help establish a love of books early on. I can't wait to share it with my two year old grandson, but I think my four year old granddaughter will love it, too. This is a great book!
