Madonna's follow-up movie to 'Desperatly Seeking Susan' doesn't hold up quite as well but is still a fun, nostalgic flick worth seeing for any fan.
It has a classic screwball plot, similar to those from 1930's comedies, featuring an ex-con looking for revenge, a vintage Rolls Royce and a big cat named Murray. Crazy stuff, but it somehow works.
Madonna's costar is Griffin Dunne, who essentially plays the straight man to Madonna's zany character. Madonna herself is almost unrecognisable from her 'Susan' character. Here she has a funny boston accent, platinum short hair and much more 80's retro clothes. Her performance is funny at times, but the voice does begin to grate on you.
Madonna slated the film in the 90s, saying it was the least favourite of all her movies, but really it isn't that bad, and does have it's moments, especially if you're a fan of hers or just like 1980's retro comedy movies.
