5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Must Have Album 4 Mar 2011
By Henley - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
You are not alone and there are tons of fans who continue to attend their sold old concerts, its just that any big April Wine fan already has this album. This is a nice pick up for newbies as it plays a pivotal role in the evolution of the band from the more singles oriented success of previous albums like Stand Back, Electric Jewels, and On Record to the harder edged sound that would define them on their most commercially successful albums and tours for First Glance, Harder Faster and Nature of the Beast.
This record has great rockers- Gimme Love, Shotdown, brilliant ballads- Like a Lover Like A Song, Wings of Love, and classic April Wine boogie like the title track and much underrated Kick Willie Rd. If you like April Wine you can't help but like this album and if you are curious about them this is a really good choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars 70's Once More 18 Oct 2010
By Ronald A. Trussell - Published on Amazon.com

I seem to be the last April Wine fan. No one around me (except my sister) even knows who they are (were). And this CD is one of there best. Fun and funky, it showcases the great guitar work, and sense of humor, that made rock and roll in the seventies the benchmark yet to be surpassed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great album from April Wine! 16 Aug 2013
By Leo Hott - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
April Wine is probably one of the most underrated Canadian band around. They put out about 15 studio albums in their career not counting greatest hits, compilations or live albums!! They had captured the attention of their native Canadian fans by the time this album was put out, with the album prior to this one & a very successful tour. It would be April Wines 11th album that would finally take the U.S. by storm " Nature of the Beast". Over the years April Wine has developed a dedicated fan base in the U.S.A. but never really received the credit due them! I cannot say this is their finest album, but I can say every album they put out is worth listening to. This is a band that has music spanning at least three decades. I would consider this to be vintage April Wine. April Wine seems to be one of those band's that get better with age, if "Nature of the Beast" & the albums that followed are your only exposure to this band treat yourself to a back log of excellent music! This album is a must have for the April Wine purist & a treat for newer fans as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!! 24 Dec 2012
By drjfk - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This was one of the greatest albums that April Wine produced. I was privileged to see this tour when they released this album at the Kinsmen Track and Field House in Edmonton. The opening act was Heart!! They had just released their Dreamboat Annie album. It was open seating on the rubberized floor, and we were only about 20 feet from the stage. AMAZING night!!!! AMAZING album!!!
