great workout, clear filming, no barbie dolls,

I am not so into aerobics but decided it was definately time to do something about my rapidly declining fitness. I tried a different video first, that I sent back because I couldn't bear the artificial woman doing the workout and her chorus of perfectly oiled Ken's in the background. Rosemary Conley is pleasant to watch and her workout is great. The 55 minute workout contains a solid warm-up and preparatory stretches; a 20 minute aerobic workout, with high and low impact alternatives; and body toning and stretches (floorwork). When you have less time, you can skip one of the sections in the middle. I do not have that much space in my living room, but I don't seem to hit the furniture or the walls while doing the workout, so no worries when you do not have that much space either. Rosemary does not use skinny barbie dolls on the background; she uses women who have actually lost weight through her programme, but still look like normal human beings, which is not as depressing to watch. The filming is great and very clear. I had no problems following what I was supposed to be doing. The same goes for the low impact exercises: they are very clearly shown. The music is great: Abba, Bananarama, Brionski Beat etc. The only reason I did not give this video 5 stars is because I would have liked to have seen more intensive stretches. (Which is, of course, a matter of taste). I would, however, advise this video to anyone, independent of what level of fitness you are at.

Effective and enjoyable,

I've had this video in my collection for over 2 years and still use it on a regular basis. It is a good all body workout and you can increase the intensity of the floor routines by adding wrist & ankle weights. Rosemary Conley is an excellent instructor and very pleasant to listen to. The last session for the arms is a little boring but undeniably effective. Suited for all levels of fitness as you can chose which section you wish to do and do all if you have the time - approx 55mins in total. Definitely one for the collection.

Suits all levels, you chose the intensity of the work-out,

I've used this video for 9 years,(so it is the worse for wear these days!). I had NEVER exercised before. It helped me to learn good exercise technique and how to moderate my pace appropriate to my age, level of fitness etc. Pleasant "classic popular music" to work-out to. Rosemary provides sound, down-to-earth instruction that's soon easy and enjoyable to follow. Only critisism, no explaination which muscles are being used during each group of exercise, but you can soon work that out for youself as it really works!.
