As a new project I started looking into my ancestry and soon ran off an A3 sheet of paper.
This software was very reasonably priced and collated all the info I have easily.
If I can use it - anyone can!
It has fields for dates, data, pictures for every person listed and connections couldn't be simpler.
I don't know how good the 30 day free trial of Ancestry.co.uk is as I am from Northern Ireland and believe it only covers England and Wales (you have to register with a credit card and cancel within a month to get the search free).
For the money I think it is excellent value, easy to use and only give 4 stars because I don't know what the others are like.

This product could be improved and streamlined a great deal - which I hope has been done with later editions.
There are lots of miscellaneous fields which are not needed but does not have a box for things like Occupation which seems useful.
The formats for printing out your tree either do not display as a traditional tree or seem to leave off half the family - very strange.
I would do a trial on any ancestry software before you buy to ensure that it is going to be correct for you.
