This is the fourth of the "adult" series of the quiz books. It can be argued that the original successes of the TV program and the quiz machine have induced the publishing of this book. The booklet takes the form of the program and the quiz machine i.e. fastest finger first questions before the multiple choice questions from GBP 100 to GBP 1 000 000. Answers are naturally provided at the back of the book with a realistic representation of the three lifelines. For substantial sums of money i.e. GBP>= 125 000 questions, there tends to be more original questions, which is the main positive of the book. The problem with the books is that they tend to be esoteric i.e. the questions tend to focus on British culture especially for early questions, now that people from abroad tend to stay in this country for a period. Like the TV program, the first book caused a frisson, some form of excitement, but this is now the fourth book, and another caveat is that there are not enough questions, before coming to
the end of the book. Like the show, only the hardcore quizgoers would buy this book, after the excitement of a novel idea. This quiz show is dying, and the numbers of this book bought will probably reflect the decline of the TV programme.

3.0 out of 5 stars This Book is written with the UK in mind. 16 Aug 2012
By AvidReader - Published on Amazon.com
I wish the book description would have accurately specified this was a version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? for the UK. Many of the questions cannot be answered by those outside the UK (the difference between British English and American English is larger than you might think.) Otherwise, it's a good book for general knowledge.
