‘Provides informed guidance on ways to approach creative thinking.’ (CPO Agenda, July 2012)

Product Description

The essential guide to building a culture of creativity and innovation throughout an organization

Your help is needed to crack an unsolved crime: creative thinking is critical for future fulfillment and survival, and yet it is now declining at an alarming rate. In this original mystery-style approach, you will have the opportunity to match your knowledge against that of the latest brain researchers, psychologists, and sociologists as you are taken on a humorous and often startling journey to discover why creativity is dying an untimely death. The '7 Rescue Strategies' then provide proven innovation solutions, from personal issues through to organizational imperatives. Authors Andrew and Gaia Grant have travelled the world for more than 25 years working with more than 20,000 international keynote and workshop participants in more than 30 countries at all levels.

With a fascinating forensic approach, revealing carefully researched facts and anecdotal insights, this is a compelling modern tale. And there is a final twist that will leave you wondering.... Can we really live happily ever after?

5.0 out of 5 stars Who Killed Creativity found root causes and provided solutions too! 3 April 2012
By Davetai - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I found Andrew when I was researching materials, learning contents, and leadership development programs on innovation to realize my dream to help Chinese enterprises to be innovative so that China can proudly say one day "innovated in China". Yesterday, Andrew emailed me that he will be in China and also shated that his book is available as online. I promised to finish reading his book before I see him in 2 weeks. I bought it today and was gonna read the intro only so that I finish my planned work and read his book thoroughly next weekend. I couldn't believe it - 6 hours later, I found myself still siting in the same position. I finished reading Who Killed Creativity in one sitting! I couldn't put the book down as soon as I started reading - the stories were so engaging; the research was so scientific; and the statistics were so astonishingly real. The psychopath analogy between a criminal and a successful executive is so true and real that the execs who killed creativity keeps popping up in my head. In the past, I sadly saw the execs psychos who killed and fired them. Today with Andrew's medicine, we can cure them - not only individuals, but more importantly organizations. Congratulations, Andrew, and thank you for all the hard work and I can't wait to meet you in Shanghai for the 1st time in person.
