5.0 out of 5 stars Good book 2 Feb. 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I am the mother of four adopted African children and always looking for good role models for them. Since it is hard to find books for children in Spanish about black people that have done great things I buy them in UK. This is a great collection of books with some black people that have an impressive life full of courage and hard work. Far from the mostly bad role model presented on TV shows. It gives my children a great push to be who they want to be.
There are a lot of books in Spanish abut adoption, children's stories about multiculturalism, etc... But I just wanted biographies of real black heroes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful, balanced, detailed. 13 Jan. 2014
By Mrs. Shorts - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
My students love the "Bobblehead Biographies" and the one on Barack Obama does not disappoint. It is well-researched, easy for second- and third-grade students to comprehend, and provides details about Obama's presidency in a balanced way. The book does not step into controversial territory, which is the way it should be for a book aimed at young readers. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good detail that is interesting for children 13 Jan. 2014
By Mary Ellen Minichiello - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Edwards does a good job of keeping children interested in Obama's biography; the details about his childhood and dog help connect the young reader to the subject. This series, Who Is...., is impressive in giving young people knowledge about important people in their lives, as well as in past history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story! 9 Feb. 2015
By Dnivra - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the great book to know about Barack Obama. What are dreams made up for Obama and how did he chased and win his dreams.

This book portrait exactly how does a child understand about the facts about Presidency and Senate and all other political terms.

This book also gave short description of the Leadership named mentioned in the story so you can understand more clearly like about Abraham Lincoln ,Hilary Clinton etc. Book has mixture of emotion of sweet and sour life's up and down in Obama's life and how did he learn and move forward toward his dream.
