Product Description

HE WHO DARES is a tense and brutal tale of six SAS soldiers who are called in to infiltrate a building which has been taken over by a gang of ruthless terrorists.

With the terrorists barricaded deep within the building, and holding the Prime Minister’s daughter hostage, the elite team of SAS troops are left with only one way in and one way out. With the odds of coming back out of the building alive stacked against them, their only option is to take the fifteen-storey building one floor at a time in the hope of reaching the hostages before it’s too late.

Starring Tom Benedict Knight (Kick Ass 2), Ben Lloyd Thomas (Skyfall), Simon Phillips (The Fall of the Essex Boys) and martial arts bombshell Zara Phythian, HE WHO DARES is an explosive action-packed thriller that keeps the tension on a knife edge.

Not a true reflection of SAS selection but yarn and fight sequences OK, better than most films of a similar nature.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid British Action Flick 3 May 2014
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
Not too shabby for what it was and its reasonable budget. Good performances, writing, fight scenes and whatnot. Maybe a little room for improvement in some areas and a bit short, but other then that, pretty solid.

By The Movie Guy TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
On Christmas Eve, the prime ministers daughter (Christina Bellavia) is kidnapped, along with some of her friends. They are taken to an underground parking/office complex which is made secured. A team of SAS go into the facility to confront the bad guys, who are every bit as proficient as them. Tom Benedict Knight leads the SAS group. However the reason to watch the film is the dark comedy of sociopath Simon Phillips who holds people hostage, gives them hope, then a bullet.

There are grindhouse moments in the film with few slow scenes. The downfall of the film is the reason for the whole operation and the generic class warfare speeches spewed by Phillips toward the end.

Parental Guide: F-bombs. No sex or nudity. 3 1/2 stars on the strength of Phillips' performance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete waste of time and money 9 April 2014
Format:DVD
Absolute rubbish!!! I've seen better quality story lines and
cinematography shot on a ten year old's ipod!! The story and characters
are totally unbelievable and how any producer could feel satisfied that
he invested wisely in this abomination is beyond me. Perhaps the writer
should have done some research on the characters and organisations that
he was trying to portray. There are countless books and even video
about the Special Air Service that he could have referred to, and the
fact that he didn't just goes to show what a complete idiot he is.
Soldiers serving in the elite SAS and any of our special forces for
that matter do not go running in like headless chickens without
confirmed orders (Iranian Embassy Siege 1980, the Police had to
formally hand over to the military, only after days of failed
negotiations) These men do not do "emotional" if they did perhaps they
wouldn't be members of the most revered and feared regiment throughout
the world. In summary, I agree totally with the reviewer above who said
you need a lobotomy to watch this, which is an operation that I am not
intending to have, so I've switched off the film and am throwing it in
the bin as soon as I've finished typing this. Spend your time and money
elsewhere!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worse than reality tv 11 April 2014
Format:DVD
This film is truly diabolical, it's like watching a cross between TOWIE and Big Brother although I suspect these two have a bigger production budget (and possibly better acting)! How the films strap line on the case can say 'the raid meets die hard'. This is worse than some college projects I've seen. It's a disgrace to British film industry.

1.0 out of 5 stars Who on Earth is giving this a good rating? 10 April 2014
Format:Blu-ray
Did the actors club together and write some good reviews or something?

This is genuinely one of the worst films I have ever seen. Bad acting, major plot holes, no attention to detail or procedure.

It is a genuinely embarrassing Brit movie.

'The plans were lost in a fire at the town hall last week' Good grief.

'The Prime Ministers daughter's been kidnapped by terrorists?' Pained and confused look.

Oh please....

Anyway, do yourself a favour and watch Who Dares Wins Instead, much better.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good 30 May 2014
By STUART
Format:DVD
The main baddy in it is really good as a cool pyschotic killer, whos empathy seems genuine but infact is not.

Some good fighting, lots of typical london slang and swearing which works well tbh.

Overall a pretty good action film, but not really a good interpretation of the SAS probably.
