Pete Townsend (g, voc), Roger Daltrey (lead voc, g, tambourine), Zak Starkey (dr), Pino Palladino (b), John Bundrick (kb), Simon Townsend (g, backing voc) I Can't Explain -- Substitute -- Anyway Anyhow Anywhere -- Baba O'Riley -- Behind Blue Eyes -- Real Good Looking Boy -- Who Are You -- 5.15 -- My Generation -- Old Red Wine -- Won't Get Fooled Again -- Pinball Wizard -- Amazing Journey / Sparks -- See Me Feel Me recorded at Kokusai Stadium, Yokohama, July 24, 2004 "Dinosaurs" is a label that fits The Who like almost no other band. In 1965, their first worldwide hit single "My Generation" took them right into the history books of rock. Another historic event was The Who's presentation of "Happy Jack" in 1966, the first so-called "concept album" in rock music ("Sergeant Pepper" came later). 1970 saw their release of "Tommy", the first rock opera ever. Today, The Who continue to be one of the most influential bands in music history. Though two original band members died from drug addiction, the band continues to sell out the largest venues and stadiums during their occasional tour, despite constant quarreling between two obstinate mules: Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend. Zak Starkey doesn't only play the drums like Keith Moon did, he is the new Keith Moon. The songs - most of them over thirty years old - shine brighter and sound fresher than ever before, some of them newly enhanced with brilliant jazzy-bluesy middle parts. The live show plays smartly with images and feelings from the Sixties and the Mod scene. Those who might have noticed some scratches in Roger Daltrey's voice ten years ago will be surprised that he's singing like a young god again. And what about Townsend? In places, he plays softer and more slurring than he used to. That said, his windmilling right arm still ends with the best and the hardest strumming hand in the guitar universe.
