5.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable, magical romp, 13 Nov 2008
The story follows the White Witch, Isobel, and a host of well-drawn characters from the English village of Spiton to the pyramids of Egypt to uncover ancient legends and to engage in the eternal battle between the forces of light and dark. Tracey Rolfe puts her vivid imagination to good effect both in the depiction of her often amusing characterisations and in creating a fast-paced, enjoyable story. A cracking good story which will appeal to children and 'grown-ups' alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars An enchanting read for all ages, 13 Jul 2008
This book is an enchanting fantasy journey. It introduces the various characters well and leads you on a magical, captivating trip from England to Eygpt....and back.

A captivating read from beginning to end, I'm looking forward to reading the next adventure to see what happens to them all.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this imaginative and intriguing story, and now that I have devoured it, I will be sharing it with my 10 year old son!
This book is an enchanting and gripping tale of good versus evil, with plenty of loveable and quirky characters to feed the imagination.
Just when things are getting a bit too sinister, Rolfe manages to make you laugh out loud or reach for the tissues!
She is certainly on my list of new children /young adult authors.
