Product Description

""White Whine" literally saved my life. How, you ask? Well, I recently had a harrowing flying experience. Immediately after takeoff, my flight attendant attempted to give me a business class blanket--in my first class cabin. 'We're out, ' she told me. Wow. There's a difference, obviously. I considered suicide right then and there, but then I remembered what was in my seatback pocket. I grabbed Streeter's book and started reading. The book was okay (I'm not much of a 'reader'), but it was enough to distract me from the disgustingly low thread count making contact with my skin for the remainder of the flight. Thanks, Streeter." --Ricky Van Veen, Founder of CollegeHumor.com"Streeter is so funny that if he were a wine, he'd be a big glass of MerLOL! Yes, I realize that joke is terrible. But not as terrible as the fact that I have to take the case off my iPhone 5 in order to plug it into the Bose Sound Dock I keep by my jacuzzi. That's bullsh*t." --Pete Holmes, Comedian"From the trauma of choosing the wrong line at Whole Foods to the heartbreak that comes with having an overly chatty masseuse, Streeter Seidell delivers a smart and wonderful survey of all the things I haven't been complaining about, but really should be." --Mangesh Hattikudur, editor of "Mental_Floss Magazine""Only Streeter could take one of society's most obnoxious habits and make it laugh out loud funny with his clever, insightful commentary, and uncanny ability to find the best (worst)offenders. I would say I love it, but the font on my book blurb is too small." --Sarah Schneider, "Saturday Night Live"

5.0 out of 5 stars I Am Outraged 26 Sep 2013
By Katelyn - Published on Amazon.com
I didn't want this book, I wanted an iphone and this is just the sort of thing my parents ALWAYS pull. God. Luckily enough, I guess, this book really felt like it was there for me, you know? Like the examples and everything really got what I was going through. But then again I BET AN IPHONE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT TOO AND GIVEN ME THE BLEEPING PONY I ASKED FOR IN THE D**N THIRD GRADE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book! Have Your Nanny Read it To Your Kids! 21 Oct 2013
By Mrs. Robinson - Published on Amazon.com
I didn't actually buy this book. But, I did read it at a bookstore while I was waiting for some illegal to detail my Escalade (Idiot - he wanted 50 bucks, but I told him he would do it for $20 or I would call the INS. Win!) So, anyway, the parts I read (the parts with pictures) were pretty good. It's about these really great, oppressed people and the atrocious things the lepers in the service industry do to ruin their lives. ("Hey, Jesus. Watch the upholstery! That's real baby kangaroo skin!) It was a heartbreaking tale. I was shaking with emotion so much I almost dropped my Venti, Half Soy/Half Skim, Dirty Chai Tea Latte, extra foam w/ no foam. Fortunately, author Streeter Seidell knows our pain. He has chronicled the stories of our people so that future generations may learn of our victories over the tortures inflicted upon us by common folk. ("Seriously, Jesus - buff in a counter-clockwise motion. Moron!") I think it should be required reading in all public schools, or wherever people with jobs are trained to do stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ever 26 Sep 2013
By zach - Published on Amazon.com
I'm white. And I complain. And I know a ton of white people who complain. And it's all about stupid things that we have no right to complain about. This book not only made me think about what a privileged loser I've been, but also allows me to crack up about other privileged loser. I love it!

I couldn't put this book down when I started reading it last weekend. It made me feel kind of embarrassed that I complain about a lot of the things mentioned in "White Whine" often, but it gave me a great laugh nonetheless. I'm so glad I caught an interview with Streeter on SiriusXM one day and preordered this book!
