Product Description
With English subtitles. Two brothers contend for supremacy during the fall of the Qin Dynasty in Imperial China. Liu Bang (Leon Lai) and Xiang Yu (Feng Shaofeng), became leaders of a rebellious army, and also became sworn brothers in battle. King Huai states that whoever can subvert the Qin kingdom in will be the Lord Qin, in order to benefit from the competition between Xiang Yu and Liu Bang. But who will emerge as the winner from this epic battle and survive to claim their path to the crown?

Is it just me or does this seem like yet another movie about the liu bei cao cao war? Ok so the names have been changed to protect the inocent lol though one of the main lead character is called liu bang and im sure he played liu bei in red cliff its a good enough movie but its a much of a muchness im afraid! and especially as ive already got red cliff, thee kingdomes and battle of wits ive got liu bei and cao cao movies coming out my ears lol

If you are reasonably familiar with early Han dynasty history and you have some idea how to play Wei Chi (Go) you will enjoy this film. The plot is quite subtle and sometimes the sub titles change very quickly. I enjoyed it better on the second viewing.

I didn't know what to expect from this movie when I bought it but I wasn't disappointed.
Judging by its trailer, you may think that this is a wu xia pian (chinese sword action movie) but its focus is more on its general plot and strategies between characters (with very decent and enjoyable fighting sequences).
Hard to classify but I would put it in the same category as "Detective Dee".
