Format:Audio CD
Everything by this choir is worth obtaining in my view. This includes their two Hyperion disks of Gombert, those of Robert Whyte, Lassus, "The Virgin and the Christ Child" (Mouton, Arcadelt, Isaac), and also De La Rue.
This CD is arguably one of their finest (I would say with the 2 Gombert disks). The singing is simply beautiful. Male only voices, impeccable intonation and exceptional ensemble.

There's not much that I can add to the comments already made by other reviews about this disc. It is excellent. I bought it having already purchased two wonderful recordings by Henry's Eight on Hyperion of the works of Nicolas Gombert.
If you enjoy White's music I can recommend the disc by Gallicantus, 'Hymns, Psalms & Lamentation' which is currently selling at a bargain price via Amazon marketplace. Generally, I prefer the sound of a male counter tenor singing the higher vocal lines. However, I also strongly recommend anyone who enjoys vocal music from this period to check out the recordings of Trio Mediaeval - an all female vocal ensemble who produce sublime recordings of mediaeval and contemporary music.
