Product Description

There's something in the water. . . but this time, it's not what you think it is.

Decades after his mega-bestseller Jaws, the master of the deep now gives us a stunning, brilliantly suspenseful novel about a strange new predator of the sea. Peter Benchley tells a mesmerizing story of a terrifying, deadly beast. At a small marine institute off the coast of Connecticut, a young marine biologist, Simon Chase studies and tracks sharks, whales, sea lions, and a vast array of other marine species, as well as the effects of pollution and other threats to the ocean’s environment. He begins to notice strange behavior among the creatures of the sea; something in the ocean is throwing off the balance of nature. Then the body of a diver washes ashore. When more victims are discovered, Chase realizes that while the white killer resembles a white shark, it is far more dangerous than any shark he has encountered before. --This text refers to the Audio Cassette edition.

If Jaws frightened you, Creature will make you wet your pants. Never has a book caught my attention so fast as this one did. Never describing to you what the Creature looks like until the last 30 or so pages. Keeping you guessing, is it a shark? Is it a whale? Is it an underwater dog? (Yes I thought that was what it was.)Benchley made a name for himself with Jaws, and Creature only betters his reputataion. Get this book and read it. With the lights on.

Creature was so gripping that I devoured (read) it in 4 days. It kept me on the edge of my seat and i couldn`t put it down. Horrer novels and movies never scare me but I actually thought twice before going in the water again. If you love a good scare now and then,I would pick up a copy of this book and devour it before it devours you! I can`t wait to read White shark. Can you?
