Product Description

This colorful arrangement of flags of the World, by Ernest Brown, is an excellent companion puzzle to our State Flags and Capitols. For each flag, the country name is noted. The background color of each flag pin points the general location of each country on 2 map insets. A great educational tool for young and old. Jigsaw Puzzle, 1000 pcs

As always, White Mountain puzzles are high-quality---sturdy pieces, obvious edges, sharp cuts, clear print, bright colors.

The theme of this one will definitely raise geography awareness, especially with little ones. My kids had lots of questions and comments about the flag patterns and the unusual country names. The "grouping" of regions by color also helped them get a better understanding of where everything was in the world. Very educational!

One point to consider: the names of the countries on the puzzle lid are very small. Young, sharp eyes should have no difficulty, but others may need to use reading glasses or even a magnifying glass.

Fun and educational 27 Dec. 2012

I very much enjoyed this puzzle. It wasn't terrifically difficult which works for me given the limited time I have available for working on puzzles. The background colors for the different regions of the world helped make it easier to assemble. I really like having the flags grouped by world region - it gives a clear picture of how nearby countries tend to have similar flags, and helps with learning the flags of each region. The puzzle is sturdy, and once assembled it is strong enough that you can pick it up from one side and hold it vertically without it falling apart. It was handy to have around during the Olympics to help figure out what flags I was seeing.

Son loved it 29 Mar. 2013

My 13 year old son LOVED this challenging puzzle. I found the type to be too small to read, so I didn't enjoy helping him. Maybe that was a good thing though, because he did this challenging puzzle almost all on his own. I glued and framed it to keep as a visual reference and accomplishment.

Fun puzzle! 19 Jun. 2013

Our family love to do puzzles, so I bought this one because my son is interested in geography. I honestly didn't think I would like this one as much, I mean for someone who's not into flags lol but once we began working on it, it quickly became one of my favorites! I really liked the bright colors of the puzzle and think I may have learned a thing or two along the way. I was pleasantly surprised!

this is a nice, good quality puzzle that is challenging, but has enough detail to make it fun and not too challenging. Very colorful - makes a nice wall hanging, too - I put it out on a table in my classroom and my middle schoolers are having fun putting it together during breaks
