3.0 out of 5 stars White Crane - But NOT Fukien White Crane, 15 Feb 2005
This review is from: White Crane Kung-Fu [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape is now dated(see other reviews) However the style within is sound and tested.
The form demonstrated is a BASIC set/form making the movements easy to follow. The form is not FUKIEN White Crane(Southern Chinese)- which is probably why previous reviewers may have felt the form was incorrect or that they were mislead in some way. The form demonstrated is an authentic and much rarer Northern White Crane system. There are many styles of Kung fu that share common origins but the forms are very different. Apart form some dodgy hair cuts - the main bad point of this tape is the 'flute' music that is played over the forms - but you can always turn off the volume and listed to the Karate kid soundtrack on your walkman instead!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who are the other reviewers, 11 Nov 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: White Crane Kung-Fu [VHS] (VHS Tape)
There are several bad reviews of this tape including a criticism of hair cuts and flute playing. But WHO ARE THESE REVIEWERS?
We know who Bob Stannells is, but we do not know who these reviewers are who blast his form and movements, not saying from what lofty position they are speaking. Huh!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best tape to date on this style., 4 Sep 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: White Crane Kung-Fu [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Bob Stannells trained in the Far East and taught for many years in London. Now retired from active tuition. The tape shows his impeccable Form and the power generated by White Crane techniques.
