The Max has a revolutionary space saving rounded back to allow it to slot onto any kitchen surface and even small corners. However, despite the smaller foot print, its 28 cm turntable is the same size as much larger conventional shaped microwave ovens.

Colour is big news this year with the shops full of accessories and appliances in a rainbow of shades. Right on trend, Whirlpool’s Max Fitness range is available in 6 colours to match other fashionable counter top products.

Steaming is one of the oldest cooking methods and is making a real comeback with the trend for healthy eating - steam retains more nutrients and vitamins and the food looks and tastes better. Max Fitness maximises this cooking method with the addition of a special steam container that holds the food and a control system designed to take away the guess work and steam 4 different food types automatically at the touch of a button.

This is an ok product, albeit a "plastiky" the benefits are space saving more than any thing else and it looks quite cool. Although everybody thinks its a TV!!
There is no steamer with this product as stated in the spec!!
The grill works fine but not tested the crisper yet.
Easy to use and good design.

Cute, cute, cute. It's a little bigger than you think, but it's still small in microwave terms. We had a big fancy monster of a microwave (combo convection oven, 2 grills, 1000W microwave). It did absolutely everything and was brilliant, had it 10 years and still going strong. Then we moved and our "capsule" kitchen was too small to accomodate, so we needed something tiny. Frankly, when it boiled down to it, we really only needed a small microwave to just microwave, nothing else. This fits nicely into the space we'd allocated, is neat, cute, retro looking and does the job it's supposed to. A little slower than our 1000W, but no big deal. The JetDefrost function is good too...

We are pleased with this. We only use our microwave for baby food and small pots so to find a space saving one is excellent. Everyone who sees it thinks we have bought a new portable TV. The controls are basic which suits us, the defrost is a bit conservative so you have to allow longer but every microwave has it's idiosynchracies. I really recommend this if, like us, you get fed up with everything cluttering up the worktop and you are not planning to use it to cook a three course dinner. And you can get a dinner plate in it, just, so you can still use it to reheat left overs too!
