WE have had two Sharp microwaves and they have only lasted three/four years hence the change to Whirlpool.
The instructions are very poor and the DVD does not even show this model, but once you have worked out everything it is a very good machine and the steam cooking is a wizz, hard vegatables eg Potatoess and Carrots cook in four mins, soft veg cook in 2-3 mins, fish is even faster and the taste is excellent.
Th drop down door took a bit of getting used to but it is handy to pull food forward onto to check it and then push it back in, the crisper dish gives excellent results with pizzas and chips
It does eveything that we would ever want a microwave to do and more, don't be put off by the poor instructions and use some commonsense when setting the programmes, I am sure you will be pleased with the product.

My machine has just arrived and yes, it is large but will fit under wall cupboards with 20cm to spare as advised. Lots of accessories for grilling, crisping, steaming etc. with 23 page instruction booklet and dvd. When you order make sure you know exactly which machine you are buying - the JT366 and JT369 appear to be identical, but the JT366 does not have the forced air function to cook meringues, pastry etc or forced air combi to cook roast meats, poultry. The official Whirlpool site whilst not particularly user friendly does allow you to compare the two machines. Have only tried the Jet Defrost so far - 1.9kg pack of minced beef. Machine easy to set - weight, time, food class - hot spots appeared quite quickly which was disappointing.
Overall nice looking machine with loads of functions which I look forward to trying!

We have not had the unit very long, but so far it seems good. It is well built and very easy to clean as there are no exposed heating elements.
The steaming function is excellent, but needs some experimenting with to get used to the timings necessary for different vegetables etc.
The oven pre heat is useful and it cooks jacket potatoes well, but does take longer than our old Sanyo,
as it uses a lower microwave wattage, (max 350) in combination mode.
The kitchen timer is quite useful, and the unit continues to remind you with an occasional beep if you have left something in it.
There are a number of different functions which will take a bit of getting used to, but this is true of any new appliance.
Drawbacks? It is pretty large and heavy. The fan oven is rather noisy, something we may get looked at if it gets any louder.
A cooling fan continues to run after use, not really a problem as it stops when the door is opened or you press stop.
Of note, Whirlpool advised us it comes with a two year manufacturers warranty.
Not tried the crisp function yet, but the grill seems effective.
defrosting seems Ok, we have not noticed to much in the way of hot spots, but it does seem to need longer than the weight/program function says.
You get a steamer, oven tray , wire rack, crisping tray and food cover with it.
The reviewer who commented on the oven tray scratching the inside of the oven is right, hence the four stars, (this and noise from oven)
