I have recently taken on a 5 year old whippet as a rescue dog. This book has proved invaluable in understanding the whippet mind. For example her old owners thought her behaviour of following them from room to room as being odd - this is typical whippet behaviour! They are a clingly dog - but very loyal and loving. This book is not even 100 pages long but there everything is covered and is easy to understand. It is obvious the love the author has for the whippet and now I have one I completely understand! A highly recommneded read.

In anticipation of my new arrival a lively little whippet by the name of Sophie I purchased the above book. This book is compact and an easy read with loads of useful information for anyone wanting to be prepared for thier little whippet. I would recommend this book to any one wanting information relating to all aspects of owning and caring for a whippet whilst much of it lends itself to other breeds. It is a very good read and also very informative giving tips and advise from training a young dog to which lead to use. It also offers advise relating to common injuries and treatment.

It's wonderful at last to find a book at last that states in plain English everything there is to know about Whippets. All of the information described my whippet to a tee. Except one bit, she is obsessed with her ball and constantly wants it to be thrown for her to retrieve it.

Ok, could have been better.
Nice book but could have had some more colour photos.

People who love dogs
Excellent book. Well written in terms that are easily understood. The book describes the behaviour patterns of our whippet exactly !!!
