This foundation crème is light and glides on without clogging or streaking, dries off quickly and gives a matte finish to the skin. It has good coverage but doesn't obscure your skin's natural "blush" because it seems to be semi-translucent and a little goes a long way. The colour is good for mid-toned complexions like mine and gives a "warm" appearance without being yellow which I appreciate in the winter months when my skin goes very pale. It is non-oily but doesn't dry out the skin especially if worn over a light moisturiser. It gives quite good coverage of skin blemishes and dark rings under the eyes, too, at least as good as any of the BB creams I have tried. So far I have tried two colours - 55 Beige and this one and I would say that 75 Golden is slightly pinker. Both, however, are great for skins like mine that aren't peaches and cream pink. I can certainly recommend this product.

Colour Name: 40 Light Ivory
I am very pale skinned, so buy this in light ivory which is perfect for me and does not make me look orange or ghostly. Having dry skin I did have some concerns that this wouldn't be great for me, especially having used Maybelline's mousse foundation in the past which I thought looked similar and used to cling to my dry skin. As it is, it goes on lovely, no streaks, no clinging to the dry patches (although I do moisturise first) and looks natural. If you need heavy coverage then I would say this is not great - it only gives a light cover and my dark circles and any blemishes show through - otherwise, I think it is fantastic and will continue to buy it.

I think I've found the perfect daily foundation for my skin. Of course this won't necessarily suit all skin types and as I get older my own skin texture and hydration levels will change but for the last few weeks I've not had to worry about my face matching the grey and dreary weather.

I am quite pale with sensitive, combination skin which is prone to acne rosacea so finding a suitable foundation can be an onerous task. Beauty therapists often try to persuade me to purchase expensive hydrating foundations to give me a "dewy" finish - I end up looking like an oil slick instead. The medium coverage I achieve with this foundation is demi-matte, not too shiny and not too drying either. It is the consistency of whipped cream (funnily enough) and a little goes a long way so this pot will last a long, long time. I like a light dusting of translucent powder on top if I'm using powder blusher but otherwise, for once in my life, I embrace the semi-matteness of it all - very daring after 34 years of being caked in powder!

It is not a very "buildable" foundation in that once you apply it you should quickly blend and not add any more for extra coverage. I like this aspect as it speeds up the whole getting ready process. Natural seems the ideal shade for my pale skin. Highly recommended.

I have extremely pale skin and struggle to find the right shade to suit me. I'm afraid that this wasn't it - my face was a noticeably different colour to my neck! (Although testing foundation in the shop is really the only way to ensure this, I feel the manufacturers could have included more information on the Amazon product page to help customers pick the right shade. I'm not familiar with the Max Factor numbering system and wasn't sure whether 'Natural' or 'Beige' was intended to be lighter. Given my experience with this product, I think 'Natural' would have suited me better.) However, for those with less pale skin, I think this would be a good foundation. The 'whipped creme' formula delivers what it promises and it blends easily into the skin, leaving a light, matte and non-oily finish. The foundation doesn't seem to cake easily, even after you have worn it for a while, and subtly corrects redness in your skin tone, especially if worn under powder. If you make sure to find the right shade for you, I would recommend this product.

My wife has used Estee Lauder foundation for the last few years which she is very happy with. It costs four times as much and takes a while to apply with a brush to get it even. This is a brand she would not normally have tried but this Max Factor foundation goes on quickly without the need for a brush and gives a smooth matt finish every time. The colour is very neutral which suits my wife's skin and it lasts all day without the need for a touch-up.

When you are in a rush to get out the house, the easy way this goes on will save you real time.

Needless to say, my wife is having a re-think! This product feels good on her skin and costs substantially less than her previous brand. This product is a definite winner!

The only downside is that it doesn't have an SP rating for sun protection.

In summary then:
- doesn't need a brush to be applied
- goes on easy
- covers well
- lasts all day

As her husband, this seems like a winner to me!

Colour Name: 45 Warm Almond Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I am a big fan of Max Factor foundation as I usually use Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation - 70 Natural. This new Whipped Creme foundation is very similar in terms of coverage - neither too heavy nor too light - it just evens out skin tone and covers up minor blemishes. I particularly like how easy it is to apply as it is looks so creamy but is actually very light and easy to apply with your fingers. I was worried that this (45 Warm Almond) would not be the correct colour for me as it is different to the shade I usually have but it was perfect with the almond toning down the pinkness of my skin. Although this jar only contains 18ml of product compared with the 34ml pump bottle of my usual Colour Adapt foundation, there is no waste as you can control how much you get and it is also cheaper. I would definitely recommend this make up and will continue to purchase this instead of my usual foundation.
