Which Uni? by Karla Fitzhugh: Which Uni? is a must have book for anyone thinking about going to Uni. While the tables can be a bit overwhealming, they made it easier to see which uni had everything I was looking for! The Money Matters chapter was really helpful, letting me know how much uni was going to cost and where it was cheapest. There were tables on rent, weekly expenses, part-time jobs and the price of a beer. In the back of the book, there was this great section where I could write up my own table about the universities I was interested in. The book also has tables listing the unis most targeted by top employers, local nightlife, quality courses and general league tables. It's definately one of the most helpful books out there about picking your uni experience.

This is terrific, un-complicated and very accessible, perfect for anyone stuck in the headache of trying to decide where to apply. It's written in a style that won't frighten off teenagers so if you've got kids that need a bit of help then this is ideal. It's much less daunting than fussing around with league tables or whatever, it gives good straightforward advice on the things that students really want out of university life, as well as the levels of academia at each place. Highly recommended.
