When I reviewed Schoolyard Ghosts by No-Man, I took off some points because I felt that the CD lost some steam towards the end. Otherwise, I felt the songwriting itself and at least 4 of the songs were among the best they ever did.
This EP continues that trend by putting on one of those tracks; 'Wherever There is Light' and 2 new songs: 'Counting' and 'Death Was California' - which could be their best track ever. These 2 new songs are not B-sides. They were newly recorded for this release and the quality shows.
There are 2 tracks from the live Mixtaped release (Carolina Skeletons and All the Blue Changes). There are also 2 videos (All the Blue Changes from the concert and a newly commissioned video for Wherever There Is Light - beautiful).
Some redundancy with the Mixtaped DVD but no deduction in points because of the quality of the new songs and the price point.
