Format:Audio CD
I've just got this cd from amazon and I am absolutely over the moon with it as sometimes you get a best of that either has re-recordings or live tracks which this double album has none,
this deluxe compilation comes from the demon music club series who have released quite a few double albums like this and tend to have a good tracks listing on them,
the songs on here are a mixture of singles, album tracks and "12"inch versions,
even though it gives you a track listing of songs that are on the album there are in fact a few extra extended versions which for me was a pleasent suprise, the only ommitance from this compilation was the beautiful song with zucchero but hey you never get exactly what you want,
so if like me you decide that you wanted to get a good paul young compilation that has a few hidden gems on it then make it this one,
Im sure you wont be dissapointed.

Format:Audio CD
I saw Paul Young in the UK in the early 80's and in Abu Dhabi 15 years later, he'd hardly aged and his music was just as relevant. His shirt was a lot damper and he had to take his jacket off - 'Who turned off the air?' he had to ask (because he thought it would be funny to wear a suit when it was about 120f) but the music was still brilliant and totally professional. I have a lot of his music on LP's so this was really just updating to get them onto an iPod, and listening to the music still leaves me feeling he's relevant; 'Love of the common people' is particularly poignant today. CD's arrived within a few days around Christmas so well done with that. And the CD's were as shiny as I've come to expect; which is nice.

As a BIG Paul Young fan, I bought this specifically for the 12" version of Love Of The Common People which is on disc 2. Although this version is complete, the backing vocals are a bit high and grate so I cannot enjoy the track that I bought it for!
However in terms of range of tracks and therefore value for money, this is a good CD. For out and out sound quality, I recommend the the original hits CD From Time To Time
