I ordered this for my six year old neice and she absolutley loved it!
The book itself is very similar to "where's wally" in that you have to find one of the meerkats among a city scene from around the world (New York, London, Sydney etc) that is full of people. At times the meerkats can be pretty obvious to find (EG standing on the great wall of china!)and at other times they can be pretty tricky!
The book is very well illistrated and the scenes from around the world are very well presented and use a lot of colour. At the start of the book you are introduced to the Family of Meerkats, along with thier hobbies and interests and then you have to find them in the city scenes as they travel around the world. Each scene has a short "introduction" box where it tells you what meerkat to look for and gives you a clue as to what they may be in that scene.
All in all this is a very well put together products and a nice take on the "where's wally" format. Sufice to say that after my niece finished it it found itslef in the hands of other family members quite a lot older than herself, which shows how this book can both appeal and entertain people all ages.
At 43 pages long you could argue its a little bit short, (hence the 4 star review) but what this book lacks in length it more than makes up for in both charm and entertainment.

The same concept as the very popular Where's Wally but with the very topical Meerkat's (they are everywhere at the moment). The book is really well illustrated and both my children 5 and 7 loved it. Because the pages are really detailed and there are 10 Meerkat's to find on each page it really has kept them busy for a long time. If I had a criticism I would say that some of the Meerkat's are so small that you are not sure if you have found one or not.
This book has been great for keeping the kids quiet early evening and it's also come on car journeys with us, it's a welcome break from listening to them playing on the iTouch.

I love books like this. Coffee table fun for everyone.
I already have all the Where's Wally books, Where's Bin Laden and Where's the Stig. This meercat book will sit nicely amongst the others.
It's got clear pictures, its well drawn and there are a decent amount of pages which makes it excellent value for money.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants a decent coffee table diversion for not much money. Would make an ideal xmas present for someone who likes those compare the meercat adverts too.

Where's the Meerkat.
Bought as a Xmas stocking filler, so can't give a really accurate review.Having said that, the book is a good size, the size of an average 'annual' though slightly slimmer. Read more

Nice fun book
Exactly the same principle as the 'Where's Wally' books, but with lovable meerkat characters instead - which are very popular at the moment.

disappointing
After much hype about this book I bought it for my son. I was really disappointed by the very shoddy illustrations and the flimsy content. No way near any Where's Wally books.

Hours spent finding Meerkats!
I brought this for my Nan who is 80 years old as she loves the Meerkat tv adverts..

fun book
Just like wheres wally, so if youre a fan, you'd like this too. The meerkats are quite hard to find, but you can cheat as the answers are in the back.
