This is a very unusual book. The idea is that Julius's parents are busily involved cooking breakfast, lunch and supper, while Julius is playing. "Where's Julius?" comes the refrain and we hear that he is climbing a pyramid or shooting the rapids. In between the wild and exciting events engaging Julius, comes a list of meals - boiled eggs, toast and fruit juice. So, the unusual and the normal events of life are cleverly combined, much as they are in a childs life. My kids love this book.

Wheres Julius? Well he could be anywhere. In this book Julius is called to breakfast, lunch and tea by his parents and each time he can be found in the strangest of places, from riding a camel up a pyramid to throwing snowballs at wolves in Russia. Parents be warned some of the places are difficult to pronounce, and children may find it difficult to read alone. All in all it will keep young children entertained and exercise their imagination and mind more than the average childrens book. The illustrations are imaginative and bright and cheerful. Children will enjoy its narrative and visuals
