I began reading the Malcolm Saville Lone Pine series when I was teenager (too many years ago!) I came across some of the books again on Amazon and have managed to complete the collection of 20 books - although some of my own dog-eared paperbacks need replacing. Girls Gone By Publishers are brilliant - they produce beautiful books which contain original illustrations and maps, they are also reasonably priced. I am hoping that they will be publishing other titles in the series - I would really like to have the full set of Lone Pine books by this publisher.
The Lone Pine stories are complete in themselves, but it is better to read them in order. Where's My Girl is the 19th in the series. Although these are "children's books" I am enjoying reading them as an adult - they are well written, the plots move along at a good pace, and they have characters which you actually care about.
