Ok, so I got this stunning film on DVD at Christmas and was very happy until I got a Blu-ray player (yippee). I checked out the listings on blu-ray.com and decided to upgrade to the Blu-ray of this movie as there were so many extras including interviews with the (UK) author Cressida Cowell, as well as deleted scenes and a short bonus tale. Despite the packaging being the same this UK Blu-ray has none of those features. Not pleased. Why does our version lack these features? Will I have to buy the US version?
I should say that all the features from the DVDs are here in full, and in HD. This also has HD trailers and a couple of picture-in-picture commentaries. But is lacking lots of the other features on the US Blu-ray.
Sorry for the typos - typing left-handed following an operation...
Unfortunately the UK often gets fewer special features compared to releases across the pond. I specifically ordered the US double play from amazon.com since it has a lot more features (and the short film) and is quite a lot cheaper over there.
