'All but guaranteed to put a smile on the face of any reader.' (THE PRESS )

Product Description

Until recently, eight million people improved their mornings by tuning into Terry's words of wisdom on Wake up to Wogan. But was their appetite sated by this daily exposure? Not in the slightest. So it's lucky that Terry has been known to turn his hand to the odd bit of writing. This has allowed him to shed light on such weighty matters as how to survive a wedding, what Bank Holidays are for, why Eurovision could be responsible for the Celtic Tiger, whether we should watch out for potatoes, and where exactly it all went pear-shaped... WHERE WAS I? gives his devoted followers exactly what they want - the unadulterated, inimitable Wogan viewpoint; a droll, forthright voice of sanity in a world gone gently mad (or is it them?). Like his broadcasting, his writing is an effortless flow of easy wit and sage opinion. WHERE WAS I? builds up a picture not only of Terry's world, but of Terry himself - a man who somehow manages to be off the wall and on the money all at the same time.

By A. I. McCulloch TOP 100 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover
Those who have read one of Terry's books before and enjoyed it won't be disappointed - this is a timeless collection of his writings covering roughly a ten year period and written in his usual light, humorous, sometimes pithy, sometimes surreal style. It has a very interesting see through plastic cover that just itches to be decorated with felt-tips, or was that just me? Anyway the content will be delightfully familiar to TOGS - one of the pieces is titled I'm Looking For Something in Beige - and could almost stand as a good final souvenir of Wake Up To Wogan. This will no doubt be a best-seller and deserves to be - Terry writes so well that one wonders where a career in journalism might have led him. Recommended.

Terry at his Best 7 Feb 2010
Format:Hardcover
Well Tel, you've gone and done it again!

A thoroughly entertaining book from start to finish. I bought this for myself as consolation when our Tel left my morning radio space - I could almost hear him speaking the book in my head - gentle, wry humour, with his usual pithy outlook on the ridiculous side of life.

Highly recommended reading for his legion of TOGS.

Good old Tel 30 Jan 2010
By Alexander Bryce TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover
This book is his radio ramblings, only more so, set in print and so for any of the 7 million fans of his, now deceased, radio 2 morning show this will be as comfortable as a pair of old slippers. If there exists anyone in the land not familiar with Sir Terry then this work is still of value to those who like a good chuckle and appreciate a good rant.
If i had read the forward notes before plunging into it i would have known that these writings were by and large spread over years gone by and would have saved myself some confusion, but then i'm a TOG so what can you expect.
I really enjoyed and mostly agreed with the opinions of this intelligent, charming and very amusing grumpy old man. A nice easy read.

Bought this for my mum at Christmas shortly after Terry Wogan retired, and she said it was just like listening to him on the radio again. Good for Terry Wogan fans.

Bland garbage
This was the second book given to me to read by a 'friend'. She said I might find it funny, but all I found was embarrassment by an over-rated and dreadful radio jock. Read more

I must be well into TOG-dom! Ordered this thinking it was a book so when it arrived was disappointed. Sent it back and so far haven't got round to ordering the 'proper' version.
