5.0 out of 5 stars FINEGAN'S HOMAGE TO SCOTTISH & IRISH GOLF , 6 Sep 2007
By J. MCCANN "Jim McCann" (Glasgow) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Quite simply, the BEST golf book I have in my collection (of dozens) - the photography is stunning, bringing Finegan's fantastic prose to life.
Worth every penny for a book you will dip into time and time again to relive courses played or dream of those yet to play. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book - befitting the subject, 5 Sep 2007
By Dr. Jp Leach "JPLeach" (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It would be easy to print a book that does nothing but reproduce images of some of the world's finest links courses. What the author does here, though, is mixa large number of stunning images with some eloquent and relevant commentary. This massive tome (surely, pound for pound, the best value on Amazon) would serve as a coffee table book for any golf fan (an ideal winter tonic for those deprived of a regular fix), but also as an invaluable aid in planning a golf trip to the game's very cradle.
I can imagine few better presents for any level of golfer; the more golf writing centred on Scotland and Ireland the better - although I accept that I am probably more than a little biased.
