Where the Wind Blows, Book One of USA Today bestselling author Caroline Fyffe’s award winning western historical romance Prairie Hearts series.

In the free and untamed Wild West, love might blossom in the most unexpected place…

When the man from the orphanage mistakes Chase Logan for Jessie Strong’s husband, the least Chase can do is help Jessie adopt the child she so desperately wants, the little girl who will be Jessie’s only family in the Wyoming wilderness. Three days are all she asks. Three days pretending to love a woman who is unlike any he has ever known…

Jessie knows it’s chivalry, plain and simple, that spurs Chase Logan to come to her rescue the day little Sarah arrives at her door. A man like him isn’t made for settling down; he is as wild as the land he roams. She should know better than to let down her guard, to allow herself to long for a family and a life with someone she hardly knows. And yet she dares to hope that maybe, just maybe, Chase Logan is the man destined to make all of her dreams come true.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute read 19 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!

It was the first historical romance novel and first Caroline Fyffe book I have read. I will definately be reading this author again.

The author tells a story of a vulnerable girl who turns to a stranger when in need and through this she helps him put some demons to rest and opens his heart to love again. I loved the innocence of the heroine but also the kindness and strength she portrays when dealing with situations life throws at her. The typical strong and handsome hero slowly begins to realise that a wife and family is what he wants from life.

The book was a light-hearted read that will put a smile and a worried frown on your face. Perfect for readers who like historical romances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just a romance 29 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book. It was written so well I started to feel I knew the family and identified with there plight. Although it is classified as a romance, there is just the right balance of tension, adventure and mystery. The family encounter some frightening experiences and this lifts the story out of being just a sloppy romance.

My main reason for reading novels, is to take my mind away from day to day worries. This story transported me to a completely different time and place, which is just what I needed.

I will definitely try more books by this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars old-fashioned romance 25 Feb. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
comforting, pleasing and enjoyable. The pace is fairly slow but then picks up, leading through an easy, old-fashioned read with a satisfying story and interesting characters. If you like that kind of thing you should enjoy this but if prairie life in the 19th century doesn't interest you, this story may not change your mind.

Not too long a story but an enjoyable read nonetheless. Now and again I enjoy a 'girlie' type book and this is one of them.
