4.0 out of 5 stars Two day Rule, 11 Jun 2003
This review is from: When Your Ready (Audio CD)
I've seen Two Day Rule at a small gig, ive also got their album. I think their boy and girl vocals over a pop punk sound gives out a good sound. They performed better than they sounded on the album and i would go and see them again and i would also buy the next album they release. Overall the whole album gives out a happy vibe and each track is a different kind of punk.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sugary punk-pop that soon becomes grating..., 12 Mar 2002
This review is from: When Your Ready (Audio CD)
The last I heard from Two Day Rule was the Had A Good Thing single which if my memory serves me correct, was rather dire. Always generous in the second chance department however, I reserved my judgement until I'd had a listen to this album, and while I wouldn't say I love it, it did surprise me. The opening 2 tracks on this album Odds & Ends and No Doubt are tuneful pop-punk numbers that wouldn't sound out of place on the soundtrack to an American teen movie although I wouldn't play it myself. The album slides downhill from here though as you soon get annoyed by the "boy/girl vocals over punk-riffing" formula. It seems to me that Two Day Rule make sugary-punk-pop which is too sweet for punks, and too punk for pop fans. For anyone outside those camps, I can't but feel it will get annoying after a while.
