I purchased this book to use in the library of our local SANDS support group, I wanted the book to be factual, informative and supportive and I have to say I was not disappointed. This gentle and honest little book gave accurate descriptions of the emotions that emerge after the death of a baby, it was easy to read and did not blind you with too much detail. I would certainly recommend this book to bereaved parents.

I agree that this book is very informative, but I think that this is a book that needs to be read straight away.

It gives excellent advice like holding & naming your baby after a stillbirth, advises you to take photgraphs, prints of babys hand & feet etc and it also talks about the funeral arrangements.

I ordered this book about 3 weeks after my daughter was born sleeping and although the help on how to deal with the emotional turmoil you go through after the loss, the above information was obviously useless as we had aleady held her funeral.

Saying all of this I think it's a very good book for a hospital to have and to give to midwives to read so that they get suggestions of what to do so that the parents have memories of their child(ren) that they can look at whenever they want in the future.

Helpful book 3 Feb 2010
By T. Bracewell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book was written by two people who can relate to loosing a loved child. I would recommend this book for anyone who has lost a baby. It focuses on how to cope, not how to think about everything but your lost baby. This book is short but focused more on what was important to me than the longer books I have read on loss. Thanks for writting this book, I know it must have been difficult.

Gamino Goes Down Yet Again 2 Sep 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is a disgrace. It is not meaningful or helpful at all. I would think twice before reading this, people... the authors have no idea what they're talking about.
