I believe the only reason why Leon won the X Factor is because of the Scottish vote together with the help of Kylie. He surely didn't win because of his voice which was out of tune throughout most of the competition prompting Simon Cowell to say he was just a karaoke singer. On talent alone, Rhydian should have been the clear winner. I really feel sorry for Leon because he has been built up to think he is a very good singer and I think he is going to come down to earth with a terrible bump. Unfortunately the lowest rating was 1 star otherwise I would have given no stars.

At first i wanted Rhydian Roberts to win because Leon was very timid and shy so at first i thought he just got the sympathy vote but in the final whwn he sang the winning song : WHEN YOU BELIEVE. I thought "oh my god, he going to make me hate Mariah Carey more than i do now" but when he sang it he sounded absouluteley brilliant and this is why he won and beat Rhydian who was favourite by 8/3 odds and those cheesey saddos came 3rd AKA Same Difference who are later in 2008 releasing an album full of disney songs!!!!! So anyway, Leon is an overall winner and this is a brilliant song by rreconition so i think all music lovers who have heard or got this i emplore you to buy it because i gurantee you will love it and anyone who doesn't is a traitor to music!!!!

I must agree with most people about Leon winning the X Factor. He should not have won and I expect the whole of Scotland kept voting over and over and over. I think that his voice is just ordinary and quite boring really, especially compared to Shane Ward and Leona Lewis.

I do feel that Rydian should have won or even Same Difference, as they were really entertaining and worth watching.

Let us hope that this year is a little more sane!!!

This studio version sounds only slightly better than his live show, but still bland, flat, boring, but not so out-of-tune this time.

Compared with Leona's single last year, this is just a piece of plastic, which I probably have to give away or bin very soon. Waste.

How on earth could this Leon guy be a winner of a national contest? This voice and singing ability to represent UK?

12 months after Leon won the X Factor, I still believe that Rhydian was robbed of the glory that should have been his. Having just listened to Rhydian doing "When You Believe" on You Tube, he is quite clearly the better vocalist.

Whether or not you think Leon should have won the X Factor or not (that is not the purpose of Amazon reviews!) you have to give credit to Leon for the track.

Ok, it may be another slushy ballad with a gentle piano start and a huge ending with a gospal choir providing the backing vocals, but credit where credit is due, Leon has recorded a fantastic song here.

Throughout the X Factor he has developed, as Mrs. O so rightly pointed out, from a shy boy into a mature lad singing this song beautifully and from the heart.

And for me, I feel this track shows Leon as the excellent vocalist he is- this recording is polished and sounds much better than almost all British male vocalists out there! And I am also quite gobsmacked at how well he has done on this track- I didn't think he'd have it in him to pull off a song like this.

Should this song be Xmas No1? Yes it should. It's beautiful, emotive and absolutly fantastic! 10/10 for Leon's debut... well done lad!!!

I used to love this song and first heard it in 'The Prince of Egypt' Dreamworks film with the beautiful Hebrew children's choir singing the chorus. However, the song does not suit Leon's voice - that's the kindest thing I can say really in the spirit of peace and goodwill(and at least they appear to have used the auto tune on the cd).

Words truly fail me, I'd love to put a positive spin on this but I can't.

Horrible, bland and soul-sapping, thoughtless music "performed" by someone with the charm and musical presence of a tone-deaf raccoon.

God save us all.
