When Summer Ends is a beautifully written, thought provoking novel that is based around the love of a teacher and his pupil.
Isabelle Rae has written this in such detail that I couldn't help but feel connected to the characters- the emotions between Will and Chloe were described so realistically that I couldn't put this book down until I read the last page.
It's got much more substance and thought than the usual romance novels seen in today's bookstores, I fell in love with the characters and prayed that the relationship between Will and Chloe could overcome the societies expectations. This book not only made me consider the morals and laws of a student-teacher relationship, it made me think about family life, trust and the ability for a situation to be manipulated.
All the characters were easy to relate to, although some were introduced briefly but not expanded on, which was slightly frustrating.
All the description was beautifully written and it was worth at least triple the amount I played for this, I am looking forward to recommending this book to my friends, and anyone who liked 'Twenty Boy Summer' will love When Summer Ends.
