This book really took me by suprise, I liked the look of the subject matter & quickly found that I could empathise with the protaganist Alex. From story's mystical start, I was hooked and couldn't put it down even though I read it in a week, the potent images & maybe metafores stayed with me. "when the Master.." has a hologramatic feel to it, as the journey keeps getting bigger and wider as you take the clues & messages that Alex discovers to heart. At times I found that it was a personal journey that I have to take & the ending is a revelation, with more twists than a snakes wedding! I recommend this exciting story to people with open and inquiring minds who enjoy thrillers, hidden history & self-discovery.
