Lawson - who are (from L-R on above single artwork) Andy Brown, Ryan Fletcher, Joel Peat and Adam Pitts, are probably already familiar to anyone who's been to see The Wanted or Will Young on their recent tours where they supported them. I first heard of them through a friend of mine who works at their label and when I heard some snippets of their demos I was really impressed.
For a long time I think Britain has needed an answer to a band like The Script or contemporary artists from America such as John Mayer (who the lads have said they're big fans of) and 'When She Was Mine' fits the bill perfectly. It's melodic and infectious and is a great radio song - the likes of Radio 1 have even playlisted them. Hopefully we're going to be hearing a lot more from Lawson in 2012.
