Great stuff 23 Nov 2006
By reborn
Format:Hardcover
This is another fantastic book from Dr Burns. This book is really great for suffers of all anxiety disorders, as it concentrates specifically on the spectrum of anxiety disorders, rather than depression which is covered in detail in his previous book, 'The feeling good handbook'.

If you follow the steps in this book, it will be hard not to get better - you really need to make the commitment to doing the exercises, which can be hard without the support of a therapist. But if you are this book will change your life.

Whats also great is that Dr Burns backs up his statements with proper scientifc facts and research. He puts the focus on getting better directly in the responsibility of the patient - theres no parent blaming, victim mentality here - just the opportunity to make real changes for the better. He makes it clear theres no magic wand or pill to recovery - but if you work at it you can recover and lead a fullfilling life.

When panic attacks 17 Dec 2009
By Kkaren
Format:Paperback
Very dissapointed in this book, I have read and tried various 'remedies' to over come this and really found this book a bit of a let down. Maybe Im not as bad as some people and the real bad suffers may find it helps a bit, but for me it was too complex, three is too much to do which is time comsuming and after a while I gave up, moved on to the next book/remedy and started again.
