This is an adorable book that speaks to children on their level and engages them with simple yet witty text---all that and fantastic illustrations, too!
Sean Taylor is a great new author with a social conscience, as evidenced by his recent book award win when he refused Nestles' tainted award money. Bravo!

We all love this book- it's 'two possibilities' theme has become a family joke.
Its style is simple and repetitive yet it manages to be funny and witty and charming within that structure.
Always love Nick Sharratt's illustrations- working particularly well here.
I am even more impressed with this author now that I know about his refusal of the Nestle award.
I think this book is destined to become a classic.

This is an amusing picture book which tells of what happens when a monster is born, giving two examples of what might happen, then choosing one of those examples and going on from there. I thought it was quirky and enjoyable, and the illustrations work well - they shouldn't be scary for young children.
