Michael Yapko is an excellent therapist and this book provides an insight into the work he does with clients suffering from depression. Lots of useful tasks that therapists can adapt to use with their own clients.

Dr. Yapko's huge expertise with brief therapy is very evident in this excellent book. Hypnopsychotherapy for depression should only be undertaken with caution because of the difficulties which can arise if a person is age regressed whilst suffering from depressive illness, but this book firmly places the hypnotherapeutic process alongside the cognitive behavioural, and gives clear pathways to assisting clients using hypnotherapeutic means. One word of warning - probably not for the student or beginning hypnotherapist, but for those with some background in the subject.
