5.0 out of 5 stars A short story that hopefully will never come true 17 April 2012

Hi

Well worth a read. This is a short story that sort of reminds me of reality TV gone wrong. The adverts are great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Macabre but nicely done 1 Oct 2012

This was a good short story set in a very uncomfortable future world. Rainbow Smith, a gangland murderer from the Bronx, is condemned to death. Ok, that happens. The difference in this future scenario is that people can compete on a game show for the 'privilege' of being his executioner.

I found the final scene particularly powerful as it replayed side by side, the scenes from the murder Smith had committed together with the winner's antics to produce the power needed for the death by electrocution. Macabre but nicely done

5.0 out of 5 stars totally twisted! 4 May 2012

In a world where we get our kicks from making celebrities eat vile food in the jungle its not really totally out of the question that in a few years time, we could get gameshows like this, though hopefully it will never happen! The story is brilliantly written and really puts you in the audience as the gameshow unfolds. Absolutely loved the totally smarmy, insincere gameshow host - I can see his whiter than white smile, perfectly coiffed hair and fake tan as if I were in the same room. Great little read, highly recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars This should have been part of a book of short stories...

This was interesting from the first page. Without revealing too much the character's where great, battling it out in the game for the final prize.
