Very useful book, explaining the symptoms I have after eating wheat and how wheat has changed in recent years due to selective breeding and genetic modification so that it really is no longer the wheat our ancestors ate, or even what people 20 years ago ate.
I suspect in future years people will be far more careful about how much wheat they consume, especially the strong high-gluten bread wheat.
Lots of ideas for eating without wheat without relying too much on other concentrated grains.

Unfortunately they are USA recipes. The ingredients which are taken for granted are usually found in my local supermarket's aisles. If you can cook you can adapt but it takes a bit longer.

Cookbook" written by cardiologist William Davis and beautifully illustrated with photographs made by Linda Pugliese is a book that combines scientific facts with beautifully presented recipes, therefore much more than just another cookbook that talks about preparing wheat-free meals.

At the beginning of the book author provides an excellent introduction that gives background to the reasons why this book is released; he encourages readers to change the thinking that giving up wheat is too time-consuming, too inconvenient or involves too many hard-to-find ingredients.
He emphasizes that it's normal that it will take some time for people to adjust their diet because today 20 - 50% of all calories we eat is wheat due to convenience, portability, ubiquity and addiction that this kind of food causes.

In order to help people to decide embarking on the journey to get rid of the wheat and successfully go through that process, this book was created - a collection of tools and ideas that will help one to embrace new lifestyle.

The first thing that the author recommends is that you clean your kitchen from all wheat products, for its shelves to become first wheat-free things in your life, and then go to purchase foods that will allow making of non-wheat meals for about 30 minutes, contrary to the prejudices that such thing is not possible.

The author offers a variety of recipes for all kinds of meals, starting from breakfasts, mains dishes, side dishes, desserts, snacks, and some special occasion menus, all of them accompanied by beautiful photographs that will immediately attract your attention being one of the reasons why you'll immediately want to try to prepare these dishes.

Read it. Do it. See results for yourselves. I cleaned up for 4 weeks then ate like I used to but in small quantities
Just because I needed to know it wasn't a gymic
Had to get something called colosan to cleanse and reset.
Clean, organic, food, real food... is what my body needs and likes.
Other wise bloating, gas, hands face feet puffiness. Thirsty constantly. Moody all return when I don't eat clean.
