my best first person shooter has to be.................. ''Operation Wolf'' on the commodore 64. A total classic. For a more upto date choice would be............... I cant make my mind up, it's out of Left 4 dead games rainbow six games boarderlands and the call of dutys. I really cant choose, can you.
Showing your age with mentioning Operation Wolf :) I did not think anyone would remember that game. I use to play in the arcade back in 88-89? Borderlands is OK although there is only so much you can shoot before it becomes tedious. Left for dead is also OK,the on line play is it`s saving grace here though. Call of duty, again it is OK although it is let down from it`s stereotype followers who are typically young kid`s with a lot a nonsense to say. As to the game play?Nothing new on the table. I would opt for Rainbow six. It as a mature following and at core is a great game, and to date is still going strong.
ok been gaming for years so ere goes.... in no particular order.... halflifes...the story was and is sublime doom3...the series finally got scary...the reverends that screech still make me fill my pants call of duties....getting old now but worth a session online bad company 1 and 2...sublime online but matches can take alot of time to get into red faction 2...first attempt at geomod which failed but the rail gun that fires through walls and the scope does that preditor heat sensative thing makes it unforgettable. left 4 dead 1 and 2....ace online just full of fools that dont respect teamwork ie turn your microphones on. borderlands...excellent bug hunts when the other people talk.gets old quick though.Love the epic journey to find the best weapon.I had an awesome shottie but get owned all the time now.Cant be botherd now. duke nukem 3d...witty, fun, on xbox live and love the stadium level in multiplayer with jet pack duels all halos....storys range from epic to ok...loved doin reach on hard difficulty and realising after the 20th time of dying all i needed was to jet pack through a window and flip a switch lol. deus ex...the origional was mega epic....i played it through several times and kitted my chap out as a sniper, melee fighter, indestructable tank etc. First game that made me feel that choices matter. goldeneye...the first movie bond game that worked and worked well. Multiplayer was a hoot....screams of run...he's got the golden gun and rcp90 still echo through the back of me brain at night. tango black light...i know it isnt that gud coz the maps are pants but for a tenner its a full fps. Its basically shown us that the gaming industry can do dlc fps's. It needed better maps and dlc maps but it essentially had it all...customizable loadouts, action online, ok graphics....inshort a sign of things to come therefore it makes my list. quake...kill the strogg. wow there are loads...interestingly fps's only started to became really memorable to me during the ps2 generation. Online started to mature, pc games were gorgous..consoles were gettin powerful. But i can remember buying games on tapes for my commodore c64 for 2 pounds. Them were the days lads. Ah also that lovly atari with enduro racer and pong with those wheel paddles. gaming emersion is at its peak now and will continue to get better and i am 32 and loving it all.
I'm sorry but MW2 was the worst CoD I played, well one of the worst games I ever played, I'm talking about online. It is full of people who love to 360 no scope, RPG everyone, Noobtube constantly, glitch, hack... it's just dreadful and ruined CoD for a lot of people including nearly all of my mates, Black ops is better but MW2 was F*CKING terrible!!
