Book Description

Jan 2006
Alan Hirsch M.D. looks and acts like any other serious medical researcher but take him into a restaurant and his interest will change to love and romance. That's because Dr. Hirsch's avocation is observing the ritual of romance through people's senses of taste and smell. What does it mean if she likes martinis and he likes Manhattans? Find out why a cheddar cheese lover will fall for an apple type. Also, find out why it makes perfect sense to use the sense of taste and the sense of smell when on a quest for the perfect mate. Dr. Hirsch's near perfect record of predicting compatability among lovers has made him a popular talk show guest.

4.0 out of 5 stars What's your food sign, 23 Oct 2011
By A. Somers - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Picked this up while I was looking for something to read on the go. I think the author did a good job of explaining why certain people what they do and the effects that different foods and desserts have on emotional states and scenarios. What will indicate a confident attitude or a certain way of getting things done.

I probably would have rated it 5 stars if it had been a little longer and included more examples, but overall I got a good idea of how some foods affect and are afffected and the types of desserts for example that should be offered. I would be interested to see another edition at some point, I think it helped me and was really interesting to take it with me while doing errands, since I could pick it up and put it down again lol lots of info on the types of personalities drawn to different foods, I would get it again if I get the chance very entertaining book.

Goes into health foods, ethnic and desserts, and it could be very useful as a study of the dramatic experiences related to restaurant eating and snacking and was very thought provoking. Changes to the method of preparation and spices all have a place here. Recommend.
