By A Customer
My 20 month old daughter and my 7 month old son, can not get enough of this book, with all of it's fantastic noises of things which go bump in the night are not only great fun for them to hear, but make it enjoyable to read and to over emphasise. A great joy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very funny, engaging bedtime book, 6 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: What's That Noise (Paperback)
This has been my son's favourite bedtime book for months, and my all-time favourite. The drawings contain a lot of subtle jokes (for adults even more than a toddler, I suspect, especially unconventional grandparents) and the repetitive formula and different noises invite the adult reader to ham it up a little, or even a lot, so the child can join in with noises or actions. I used it to help get my two-year-old to use a form of sign language developed for children with Down Syndrome, as their speech is usually delayed. He picked up "sleep", "quiet" (no prizes for guessing what that is) and "aeroplane" in no time, but mainly we had a lot of laughs and cuddles. It is brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Little Ones Scared of Noises!, 17 April 2009
By Sarah Lee "Sarah" (Cambridgeshire, UK) - See all my reviews
My three year old started to worry and question noises (especially around bedtime) and this book was lent to me by his nursery and was so good I had to buy him his own copy.

The story is great, all about a little dog that goes to stay with his grandparents for the first time and there are lots of strange noises, my little boy is constantly saying "What`s that noise" so I think he could identify with it and it has actually stopped him worrying and questioning noises! So definately a good buy!
