What size cup does it fit into? I do not like drinking from the bulky mugs - a bit of a mug snob!!

Hi Babs,
The perfect diameter for the mug/cup is 8cm but anything between 7-9cm will be OK.

Like you I do not like bulky mugs. The filter fits one of my large china cups, just watch how much boiling water you use.

Try a pretty Emma Bridgewater mug - really solid while the filter is on top and a perfect fit.

As before, no greater than about 9cm and no less than about 7cm diameter- these are the sizes of the outer edge of the whole unit and of the filter area.

All normal sized mugs, even the delicate more slimline versions.

It will fit any size cup or mug so long as its not huge. A brilliant bit of coffe kit, remember to store it upside down using the lid as a base. Enjoy xx

It's designed to fit onto (not into) any cup or mug of about 8cm overall diameter, a maximum diameter of 8.8cm. The outer diameter of the shallow filter cone is 6.2cm, so any vessel between these diameter would be suitable for use with the Swissgold filter. Hoping this helps - and I agree, coffee tastes better in a vessel made of a civilised ceramic material!
