Is it like being on a mine cart - ie you are taken through the level at a pre-determined speed?

or

Is it like being on a camera dolly, where you control the speed forwards and can back up, but only on a fixed path

or

Is it like walking down tight alleys all the time, where you have a certain amount of freedom to move, but there is only one path through the level?

or

Something else?

It's basically like a 'House of the Dead' game in the arcade.

It moves on it's own, and all you need to do is shoot.

You shoot down doors and it automatically goes in that direction. Making it more of a challenge.

So you dont control movement at all, except for where you aim and what kind of path you take (by shooting doors).

Hope that helped.
